Antonio Romagnoli was born in Castrovillari (Cosenza) on May 13, 1992. After completing his classical studies at a humanities-focused high school, he pursued a degree in Arts and Performing Sciences at the University of “La Sapienza” in Rome.
From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a film critic for iCinemaniaci, awarded Best Film Criticism Website in 2014. He later served as editorial director for Il Varco Cinema and published both prose and poetry through their publishing division.
In 2015, he directed the short film Memorie di un Viaggiatore, starring Alessandro Haber and Saverio La Ruina. In 2016, he began work on his debut feature film Polvere, featuring Saverio La Ruina and Roberta Mattei. The film was released in cinemas in October 2021 and was officially selected at the prestigious Porretta Film Festival.
Also in 2021, he released his short documentary Inutile al Mondo, which was selected at Lago Film Fest, Benevento Cinetv, and the Vittorio De Seta Award, where it received a Special Mention from the jury.
He is executive producer of the short film La Piccola Estate by Sara Scalera, winner of the Rai Cinema Channel Award at the European Film Festival in Lecce, and of the documentary Italianesi by Saverio La Ruina, which won the Reflecting Albania Award at the Tirana Film Festival.
