Theo Montoya (1992), born in Medellín, Colombia, is a director, cinematographer, and producer. He founded and currently runs the production company DESVIO Visual, which focuses on the creation of auteur and experimental films. In 2020, Son of Sodom, his first short film, was selected for the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival and IDFA, and in 2021 it was screened at Clermont-Ferrand (Special Mention of the Jury for the Prix Documentaire), DISFF (Grand Prix), and many other international festivals. Anhell69 is his first feature film, a co-production between Colombia, Romania, France, and Germany. His latest short film, Pelotón Trueno, is in competition at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
