SYNOPSYS

Alonso and Bryan, two eighteen-year-old boys from a small Mayan village in Mexico, are devastated by the disappearance of their friend Gustavo—one of the many who have vanished without a trace in a country scarred by cartel violence. Determined to find him, they embark on a journey that leads them into the heart of ancient legends and long-forgotten superstitions. Among these, they uncover the myth of Ixtabay, a female demon who lures and abducts men. Convinced that the creature is linked to Gustavo’s disappearance, the two boys venture deep into a xenote, a sacred cave believed to be the cradle of Mayan civilization. There, in the darkness and fear, they will be forced to confront their deepest fears.
