SYNOPSYS
On a distant planet, a robot explores the landscape in search of minerals and signs of life. Light-years away, in one of the oldest mines in the world, its inhabitants live surrounded by buried towns under mountains of mineral waste, while astrobiologists investigate a hidden biosphere that raises a disturbing evolutionary hypothesis. Weaving together documentary, flamenco and science fiction, Como Todo Mortal excavates the social, historical and speculative strata of a landscape between exploration and exploitation, between Andalusia and Mars.

María Molina Peiró is a Spanish artist, filmmaker, and researcher. Her work has been screened and exhibited internationally at festivals and museums such as the Rotterdam Festival (Tiger Competition), BFI London Film Festival, Louvre Museum, Oberhausen, Clermont-Ferrand, Sevilla European Film Festival, Taiwan TIDF, National Gallery of Art (Washington), IndieLisboa, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, MACBA, London Science Museum, Rencontres Internationales, Krakow Film Festival, and EYE Film Museum, among others.
